St. Louis Lions News Release

Update Feb. 17, 2015:

St. Louis, MO – Due to the inclement weather that we had over the past couple of days, coupled with the weather we are expected to get on Friday and Saturday, the tryouts have been rescheduled for: Saturday March 14th & Sunday March 15th. If this will be a problem for you with your College Spring schedule please contact Jonny Brown asap at

The St Louis Lions are pleased to announce details of their 2015 tryouts. As they enter their 10th season of play, and off the back of their second play-off appearance in team history, the Lions offer one of the top places in the PDL for college players to play during the summer. Having placed over 30 players in the professional ranks, Head Coach Tony Glavin knows what it takes to help players with their development and reach the next level in the soccer pyramid.
The Lions play in the Heartland Division within the Central Conference. Here, they battle with two of the top organizations in the PDL, in the Des Moines Menace and the Thunder Bay Chill. Glavin and his staff will be looking for the best talent from the area and further afield.

Tryouts for the St. Louis Lions' PDL and reserve squad will be held from 12:00-5:00pm (CST) at St Dominic High School in O’ Fallon, Mo.

Players will play in 11-a-side games, take part in general fitness tests, and spend time talking with the coaching staff.
